    Cory,

Cool blog and nice photos. I haven’t seen you since the ESA meeting in Atlanta. Sounds like you have a great job. Send me an email.

    Hi Cory,

I’m doing a project on the Marianas Eight Spot Butterfly and was wondering if I could have your permission to use the photo you took of it. If you can, could you send the original photo to my email (ajborjabenitez@hotmail.com). Of course, you will be credited and I could send you a copy of the finished species description.

Thank you and hopefully you get this on time,

    Anthony Benitez

Why doesn’t my Random House Unabridged Dictionary have an entry for “Entophile” (I probably know why) or “entomophile”?
Are bug-lovers destined to go nameless as a group or am I looking for love in all the wrong places?

I also see “insectophile” floating around out there – (was trying to think of something more witty to respond with, but no luck – sorry.)

Hi Cory, I’m an entomologist in a graduate student society that raises money for outreach programs and scholarships. One outlet for fundraising is tshirt sales. We’d like to reprint a design we created that was inspired by your “I’m an entomologist” tshirt. Can we have your permission for reprinting a similar design?
    Thanks,
    Tim Jordan

No problem, Tim – thanks for asking. I’m happy to know that I inspired somebody! Feel free to use a similar design – and good luck with your fund raising.
Anyway, that particular design is based on the common “Relax, I’m an Doctor (insert any other occupation)” design – I just put an entomology spin on it.

Hi Cheryl – so sorry for the late reply. I haven’t been checking this blog for a while, but have recently been thinking about getting back into it. Anyway, I’ll check out your site and shirts and get back to you! Thanks for the message. Cory

    Hi Cory,

I work for a television production company in London making a science television show for Discovery Channel. We’re interested in featuring one of your YouTube videos of termites following a line of ink – would you be able to email me at tim.peplow@octoberfilms.co.uk?

    Many thanks

    Tim

I wanted to ask about borrowing a pacific cockroach photo with attribution but can’t find an e-mail or other way to write you.
